In Eye of Zegu, play as a rogue bandit whose main goal is to take out a giant Lovecraftian eye. Carefully sneak around the Ziggurat-shaped maze in order to ascend to the top and take out Zegu himself! In this stealth horror game, you will have to hide behind walls to avoid being seen by Zegu, navigate through the twists and turns of the maze, and overcome the many obstacles in your path...
I made this game over the course of one semester abroad at Champlain College's campus in Montreal with 4 other members as a part of Team Zegu for a Game Studio Course.
I was primarily responsible for implementing the non-Zegu AI, the camera system, and the player movement.
I implemented A* pathfinding for enemies and used trigonometry at the beginning of the project, but these features went unused in the final project as they did not help the core game loop.
One thing I did on this project I believe to be important was coding the ending segment, which is more cinematic than other parts of the game
